Christmas is the most important festival of the Christians. It comes on 25th December every year, Lord Christ was born on this day. It a festival of great rejoicing. It is celebrated all over the world.

 

People decorate their houses. They plant Christmas Tree and decorate it with lights and toys. They gather round the Christmas tree and sing and dance. People hang up shining stars in their houses and send Christmas greeting cards.

They also send gifts to their friend. Christmas is a festival of Love and Peace.

Churches are well lighted and well decorated. People go to the Church and other prayers. They sing Christmas carols. At mid-night a Mass  is held in the Churches.

Children too feel very happy. They put on new clothes. They receive gits from their relatives and friends. They believe that Santa Claus visits their houses at night with his gifts. Christmas stands for love and goodwill to all mankind. Easter and Good Friday are other sacred festivals of the Christians.
